We will be running this event in WAVES to keep everyone safely spaced. These are approximate start times only... each wave may be split into smaller waves at the start line based on any health & safety guidelines in place on the day of the race.
Not sure you can attend the event? No problem! During registration, you will see an option to participate in this event remotely at a time, place, and route of your own choosing.
SPACE IN EACH WAVE IS LIMITED, SO REGISTER EARLY.
DOG JOG RULES
We love your pups and want them to have a fun, safe event! There will be a lot of people, children, noises, and excitement during the Red Deer PCN Fun Run & Dog Jog. Remember that not everyone loves dogs as much as we do! Please be respectful at the event. For everyone’s safety, please read through these rules before registering your dog:
Dogs will be welcome at the race site (Canada 150 Square) after 12:15pm. Please make plans to have your dogs join the fun after this time!
Dogs must be under control of an adult (age 18+) at all times. Owners are completely liable for the actions of their dogs.
Limit one dog per adult human handler.
We invite dogs that are well-behaved, friendly, and used to being around other dogs and people.
Fully vaccinated dogs older than 12 months are welcome, and please no females in heat.
Please keep your dog on a short leash (less than 6 feet) at all times. Please do not use a retractable leash while extended since they can be hazardous in a crowd and on the course route.
Clean up after your dog - limited bags will be provided, but please also bring your own.
The Fun Run reserves the right for ANY of our volunteers or organizers to ask anyone to remove their dog from the event, particularly those that display unwanted behaviour toward other dogs or humans.
